Sacramental prep

Welcome to the Sacramental Preparation page for St. Philip Neri Parish. As parents, you are the primary educators in faith and morals for your children. By helping them build a relationship with Jesus and His Church, you fulfill a vital role in their spiritual journey.

Please review the information below and download the appropriate registration packages for the 2027 sacramental programs.

Sacrament of Baptism

Baptism is the gateway to the rest of the sacraments, freeing us from sin and rebirthing us as children of God.

Requirements: Parents must provide a Baptism or Confirmation certificate (for at least one parent) or a sacramental marriage certificate. Godparents must provide a Confirmation or sacramental marriage certificate, and the child’s birth certificate is required

Registration: Please contact the Parish Office at 416-241-3101 to obtain the Baptism Registration Package.

Cost: $50.00 per child.

The Process

Once your registration is complete, you will have a baptismal interview with Deacon Damien (English) or Deacon Ignacio (Spanish).

Parents and Godparents will be given a date for a required catechism class.

The baptism date will be set after completing the class.

First Holy Communion

This program is offered to all students in grade two (2) to grade six (6) who have already received the sacrament of Baptism. Preparation emphasizes the central place of Jesus in your child’s life, focusing on love, forgiveness, thanksgiving, and sacrifice.
